Exploring the World's Hidden Greenery
Meet Trinity Shi: a plant lover, traveller, and digital creator based in Los Angeles. Her passion for adventure and the natural world has inspired her to create content that encourages others to explore and connect with their surroundings.
QHi. Please tell us your name and your @IG handle?
AHi! My name is Trinity Shi and you can follow me @cubehousejungle
QWhere are you based?
ALos Angeles, CA
QWhat inspires you to travel?
AI love experiencing new places, new cultures, and new foods. It’s refreshing to get a break from everyday life.
QWhat has been your favorite travel destination so far?
AIceland is one of my favorites - the natural beauty is other-worldly! I even got married there!
I also loved Edinburgh, Scotland. It has wonderful architecture, great food, and friendly people. I want to go back and see more of Scotland!
QHow do you decide where to travel next?
AI research and look for inspiration online. Do we want to explore natural wonders? Do we want to go on a food adventure? Do we want to see beautiful architecture? The destination usually depends on how my husband and I are feeling (and if there’s a travel deal, that’s an extra bonus).
QHow do you stay safe and healthy while traveling?
ADoing research and planning beforehand is very important. I don’t travel to places that are too dangerous or unsafe. I will upgrade my cell phone plan to an international one while I travel. That way, I can look up destinations or translations if I get lost or need to call for help.

QWhat are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced while traveling?
ASometimes the language barrier can be difficult. I recommend getting a translator app or a phrase book for the destination. People will appreciate the effort.
QAnd what are your favorite travel-friendly products that you swear by?
AAllergy medicine for sleeping on the plane! I don’t have allergies myself, but I’ll take antihistamines to help me fall asleep on a long flight and avoid jet lag! I also love a water resistant packable jacket that can fit in a purse and be used if it’s too chilly or rainy.
QWhat types of keepsakes do you like to bring back from your travels
AUsually small items - I love to find good vintage pieces when I can! I also like handmade crafts and art that’s specific to the destination.
QHow has traveling changed you?
ATraveling has taught me that the world is a big and exciting place and we shouldn’t limit ourselves to our comfort zones. There are so many unique places to explore and cuisines to try. I feel so inspired when I experience and learn about different cultures and histories. Traveling is fun, enlightening, and truly something I look forward to!
We asked Trinity to create a selection of her favorite Bohème products
Trinity's Bohème Edit
The Istanbul candle from Bohème is my go-to when I want to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in my home. Its blend of cardamom, ginger, bergamot, and cassis is both calming and uplifting.
Seville is my ultimate escape in a candle, with its invigorating burst of zesty citrus, delicate orange blossoms, and a subtle hint of warm spices, it conjures the passionate spirit and captivating energy of the enchanting city, igniting my senses and transporting me to a sun-kissed haven of endless adventures.
